Just barely home from a two night adventure with 120 something 2nd and 3rd graders, I am exhausted. Ready for a shower. Physically drained for sure and my head is still spinning a bit, from the girl and boy drama that can come from that age group. Despite all that, I am aware of what a gift it is to be outside, in a canoe on a lake, hiking among the trees, walking along a river, sitting around a camp fire. Stepping away from routine and out of doors among the stars and moss covered trees awakens my senses and reminds me of how simple life can be. Simple and rewarding, life giving and life shifting, simply by feeling the earth under your feet and looking around you.
What shifts inside of you when you step outside and walk among the trees?
Cheers, Jenny
