“Our inner wisdom is persistent, but quiet. It will always whisper, but it will never stop knocking at your door.”
–Vironika Tugaleva
In January of 2020 I had no idea the Four Agreement Sack Lunch Mini Retreat I held on the tenth of that new year would be the last in person Mama Needs a Refill Retreat for awhile. We never know what path life will take. I also had no clue that I would hold Zoom retreats. I’m pretty sure back then I had never heard of Zoom.
What a gift this time away from what I do, gathering women, has been. I got to turn that energy inward and tend to my own refilling, so to speak. Slowing down, listening, and becoming wide awake have been trademarks of Mama Needs a Refill retreats and that is what I was forced to do when life handed us a pandemic. No more running. No more turning my energy to providing for others, I had to practice my own words and live by what I had been preaching for years.
This brings us to some exciting news. On November 12th I am teaming up with Aubrey Jackson, the owner and founder of Limber Yoga and we are creating a sack lunch mini-yoga-retreat for your soul, Nourish. Taking our gifts and offering them together.
When I sat down with Aubrey on a pouring down rain, chilly September afternoon at a shared favorite coffee shop, in the new since the pandemic, covered outdoor venue we talked about what we thought was needed. Listening to our clientele, and to our own hunger and thirst, we settled on the theme of mothering ourselves, cultivating quality in our daily lives and landed on Nourish.
Nourishment is about providing sustenance. And wouldn’t you say that has been an eye and heart opener since January of 2020? I look at what nourishes my soul differently and frankly more seriously than before a world wide virus.
If you live near West Seattle, and are hungering and thirsting to get back to hearing the whispers and wisdom of your soul, join us. This is your invitation, we are knocking at your door, will you answer?
