I love this quote by T.F. Hodge, Making a dream into reality begins with what you have, not with what you are waiting on.
The minute I stopped saying,” I don’t have enough time for me”, opportunity opened her door. When I chose to change my words, recreate my thoughts and shift my attitude, windows of time and possibility flew open.
Yes, we can’t just wish for something and have it magically appear. But we can hold the thought and believe in the outcome as we make forward steps toward our dream or goal.
Recognizing abundance in our lives is often about quieting that negative voice so that the wise voice within us can be heard.
For years, as a stay-at-home mother, I not only said I don’t have enough time for me I also carried the thought in my mind that I didn’t have time to write my book. Practically, conceding to write it, some other day. I have been writing it now since 2009 this Mama Needs A Refill book, little by little, page by page. When I traded “I don’t have time in the day to write this” for “I am writing my book every day” pockets of time became my moments to seize. I became aware of how I was using my time and throwing away gifts of quality intervals that would have been perfect opportunities to write.
Listen to your gut. Tune in to the whispers down deep inside of you and act on them. Seize those moments, don’t throw them away. When you practice tuning in, listening for the answers you hold inside of you, abundance will knock you on your head. You’ll be tripping over possibility. Scratching your head saying, “Where has all this time been?” Or what ever else it is you thought you were lacking.
Where in your life are you closing your eyes to the abundance pouring all around you?
Cheers, Jenny
