When I wrote Mama Needs a Refill: Finding Light in the Midst of Madness I had hopes that those who say, “I don’t have time to read”, “I don’t read, I will wait for your audio book”, “I have a short attention span” or “I have ADD” would pick it up anyways.
I wrote my book in four sections, with 56 chapters I call “sips” all with the intention that this book would reside in a purse, kitchen counter, back of the toilet or on a nightstand and be picked up regularly for inspiration, tips, and tricks.
Readers are telling me that for someone with ADD, a lot going on, or little spare time, they appreciate the short chapters and questions at the end of each chapter to integrate what they just read.
Recently I have had the chance to read my book again as I am recording the audio version and the reading of it is perfectly timed. I am being reminded of my hopes and intention for the book and starting next weekend I will be sharing this in a tangible way with others.
The South Seattle Community College Preschool Coop Parent Advisory Board is offering my book and four subsequent workshops over the next seven weeks. A free community opportunity for me to take readers by the hand as we dive into the book and pull out the nuggets they are seeking.
If you are in the West Seattle Community, looking for a way to jump start your connection and interaction with this guide to living with more of a full Cup than you currently have, please consider attending.
